I have used the camera connected by means of a usb cable once before.after I had copied the photos that I wanted to my hard drive.I was looking at them and while I was looking at them I noticed a comment box coming up saying this device not recognised.Ihad already did my stuff so I just took it out and went about my business.now when I tried to connect the camera.the computer won't recognise it at all, I changed the usb to another port and still the same problem.what did I do wrong.if anythingwhat do I do to rectify this problem.thanks Dale. Was the camera switched on before connecting it to the computer.I would like to inform you that if your camera doesn’t take a Memory card then you need to use the camera software for transferring the pictures to the computer. You can logon the Olympus website for downloading the software fortransferring pictures. If your camera takes in a Memory card then you can use the camera as a plug and play device. You should also make sure that the camera needs to be turned on before connecting it to the computer. If the camera is turned off the computerwon’t recognize the camera.
