Tomb Raider Patch Angel Of Darkness Lps

Tomb Raider Patch Angel Of Darkness Lps 2
It's not THAT bad, it just use the tradicional TR 'tank' control on PC (arrows or WASD, CTRL, Alt, space, enter.). I've played games with way worse controls. I don't recommend mouse at all, it's just terrible. The most important thing is that controller are not compatible with this game (so far, some fans are working on patches so. Who knows.), except using Steam keybinding (W = UP, ALT = A, TAB = MENU, and so on.) but it is very tricky and the result won't be satisfactory. In less words: only keyboard, not confortable but anybody can make it.PS: I recommend to use this patched version, community made (by sasho648), with a lot of fixes, better movements and controls, and some improvements: onedrive.live.comExtract TRAODP4.exe and replace (backup the original just in case) on bin folder. Originally posted by:But the person above said you can't use controllers with this game? Modern controllers are only partially compatible with the first six Tomb Raider games on PC - some buttons on an Xbox controller won't be detected natively, such as the D-pad and triggers. That's why we use a 'key mapper' to make the controller emulate the keyboard controls for the game. We can then use ALL of the buttons on the controller, in any configuration that we choose.

ANY game that uses keyboard or mouse controls can be played with a controller.I played all the TR games with a controller using JoyToKey, so you could copy (and edit) the profiles provided in the guide above. Or if you prefer you can use Steam's in-built controller configuration - which also has user profiles available for download.
Serenity - have you played the other Tomb Raider games? TR2/3/4/5 - the controls and moves seemed to improved with the graphics. If you bring up TR 6 in Wikipedia it was unfinished and developers not happy with it being released due to the many bugs the game has. One level with the Ghost is near impossible due to the controls being so bad (the auto lock feature which is good in the other games seems too 'sticky' in my opinion and the fact you have to press the ROLL key to switch targets - necessary to defeat BOAZ is terrible). You can't climb ladders quickly, the hop jump is awful, and the controls which were OK in the other games seems to be a downgrade rather than the same or better. The fact the developers were unhappy releasing the game and it almost was the end of tomb raider tells its story.

You can see much of the people posting for help is either due to bad controls/difficulty with ghost level or bugs - falling down holes or crashing at random points in the game.I love the TR games and still enjoyed this game but it's definetely a let down from previous games although some of the graphics are better. My advise to those with the constant app crashes at the same point - try to go a slightly different route. I had this issue whenever i tried to push a block in one level but found pulling it worked. Not ideal but a workaround to the games many flaws.
Now I'm not an obsessive Tomb Raider fan, nor do I dislike the series (I like it, it's just not my favorite), but this was just lame. The controls were sloppy beyond belief, the plot holes were gaping and Lara was just plain unlikable in this game. Now I'll bite, I appreciate that they were trying to take the series in another direction, but they did it wrong. I know it was meant to be darker and Lara was grittier as a result, but it just went in too many wrong directions. Then there's Kurtis who would've been better had his story been more developed.
But the worst of it all was the gameplay where Lara controls like circus clown balancing on a rolling ball. If there are any redeemable qualities, they are that the graphics are nice and the dialogue is well written. Other than that, just scrap this crap. It damn nearly killed the franchise, but thankfully Tomb Raider: Legend (a far more superior game) came out and reversed that.
